experience

With over 16 years of experience as an entrepreneurial leader in the healthcare industry I am confident I bring a perspective supporting both organizations as well as patients and families.  My career began working bedside inpatient physical therapy and has since lead me to healthcare leadership.  I understand the intricacies for Home Care agencies to be successful, meet quality measures and deliver compassionate quality care.  I have been known to be an “innovative” leader creating programs such as Virtual Reality with hospice patients, Equine Therapy with bereavement programs, and community-based palliative care programs to support the chronically ill.  My success stems from my entrepreneurial experience and my ability to build relationships by developing and delivering quality services.

In April of 2020, my life took an unexpected turn that led to my new lease on life.  While paddle boarding, I experienced a brain aneurysm which resulted in a 7-day ICU stay amidst COVID.  Miraculously, my aneurysm was successfully coiled, and I experienced no deficits.  This life changing event has forever altered my perspective.  I appreciate everything life has to offer; I remain present in all that I do, I smile a whole lot more and I never forget to tell those I love how much I love and admire them.

Most all my career has been dedicated to palliative and hospice medicine. I am passionate about serving families that are faced with life limiting illnesses.  After my personal brush with death, I committed to starting my own palliative and hospice company, hence the birth of Anchor Health.  This is my personal footprint in giving back.  Anchor Health provides compassionate care to patients of all ages through innovation, exceptional quality, and professionalism.  We have partnered with some of the largest healthcare systems to collectively close the gaps patients currently feel within our healthcare system.

As a board member of California Hospice and Palliative Care Association (CHAPCA) I bring my experience, vision, and passion to the goals of the organization.  I am committed to improving access to services and educating members on operational excellence. As you know it is a changing time in our industry, we need to advocate and defend our industry’s purpose while ensuring our long-term viability.

My Anchor is lowered and I will remain dedicated to patients, employees and communities of which I serve.
